Equal Trade Community Kick-off

We’re excited to invite you to the Kick-off of the Equal Trade Community, where we Reimagine Global Agricultural Value Chains — an initiative aimed at transforming global value chains through shared ownership and fairer distribution of economic value. We aim to bring together students, researchers, founders, and changemakers to tackle one of the most pressing challenges in global development: structural inequalities in global trade.

This is a collaboration of Starthub Wageningen, United Community of African Students (UCAS) and Equal Trade Alliance.

What to expect:

• Insights from award-winning research (ACT Award 2026) and the Equal Trade Alliance model
• Introduction to the Equal Trade model, an approach based on revenue sharing and co-ownership
• Direct pathways into research, thesis opportunities, and the role of StartHub Wageningen’s incubation ecosystem
• A plenary session to shared findings and shaping next steps together
• The event will conclude with a drinks and networking session, providing space for participants to connect and explore future collaborations.
