Inspire: from idea to plan

Cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and explore knowledge-based impact ideas

In this phase, the goal is to spark an entrepreneurial mindset and raise awareness of how innovation can create societal value. It targets WUR students, scientists, staff and alumni from WUR who are just starting out or still exploring ideas.

Participants join inspiring events such as StartHub Wageningen meet-ups, they can join the STEP programme or the PhD course Entrepreneurship in and outside Science (EIOS). Through a needs intake we develop tailored coaching to clarify your drivers and the problem you want to work on. A community of peers and role models supports your early innovation journey.

Key activities

  • Community events and idea focused sprint sessions
  • Needs intake on both your idea and your ambitions and needs
  • STEP training on opportunity recognition and business modelling for students
  • Multiday entrepreneurship courses for PhD’s, Postdocs and employees – EIOS
  • One-on-one coaching sessions with our mentor and expert community

By the end of this innovative journey, participants will have gained insights in their own motivation and skills, they might have an initial impact hypothesis, a rough stakeholder map or a validated problem definition. This will initiate your mindset shift from research to impact!
