More than 70% of our planet is covered in water and roughly 94% of all life is aquatic. The oceans are of vital importance to us as a species and to our planet as a whole. This is why StartHub is organising: Oceans of Opportunities, 2 weeks with activities themed and geared towards the oceans.

6 October, docu night. This evening we watch the documentary “Seaspiracy”. Together we will debate and talk about what we have seen and what it means for us and our oceans. The docu night starts at 19.30 at StartHub, Plus Ultra II.

7 October, network market and seaweed cocktail workshop. During the Explore the future exposition StartHub is organising a corner that will be fully themed towards oceans and start-ups working on oceans. Here you can see what people are doing to help the oceans in their way, meet with like-minded people and even participate in a seaweed cocktail workshop! The exposition will start at 17.00 and end at 19.00 and will take place at StartHub.

13 October, workshops and pub quiz. Have you ever wondered how to create an ocean in your house? The 13th StartHub will organise a workshop on how to set up your own aquarium. This will start at 19.00 at StartHub. Later that day, at 21.30, a pub quiz starts to test your ocean knowledge

14 October, symposium. This evening, from 17.00 onward, there will be multiple speakers talking about the opportunities that the oceans offer us.
