Ard Lengkeek has 25+ years of working experience in the private sector, international research and rural development, all in the tropics. He has guided several Dutch and African students in their Master, and he has been a mentor of start-ups at StartHub for many years.

I have a MSc. in plant breeding and a PhD in agroforestry conducted at ICRAF Kenya, both degrees from Wageningen University.
I set up 2 agroforestry companies in Mali and Burkina Faso. In addition, I am also a consultant for (agro)forestry companies for training, policy regulations (CBD-ABS), erosion control, biodiversity management and social inclusion. Additional expertise includes guiding African startups and setting up business incubators.”
