Starthub mentor
Martin van Zwol is an experienced entrepreneur with a passion for horticulture. He worked at the Dutch multinational Pokon & Chrysal, a company specialized in the production of fertilizers; pre-treatment products; conditioners and cut flower food.
“As the General Manager of the Dutch subsidiary of Pokon, I was responsible for the expansion of its international business in Europe and Russia. In 2008, I founded Martin van Zwol Management to advise companies in the horticulture industry. My main aim is to act as a sparring partner on senior management level and to bring together new initiatives. As a board member of The Dutch Branch Organisation for Gardening (Tuinbranche Nederland) for 8 years, my aim was to promote cooperation between retail chains and suppliers. When advising companies in the horticulture industry, I put high values on sustainable projects.
In the beginning of 2017, I was appointed as an advisor of the The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland). The Agency offers vouchers to promising startups. When your startup has gained a voucher from the Agency, it is my goal to look at your opportunities abroad and to work towards a concrete plan of action to reach your full potential.I will advise your startup in three to five sessions.Together, we will research your export opportunities and your ambitions to grow. An internal analysis of your startup will provide you with a to do list to become an international entrepeneur. There are 2 possibilities in our co-operation.Working together as your mentor or in addition to this as an adviser of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). As a mentor and advisor of the Agency, I look forward to cooperate with your startup! ”
